Western Red Cedar Shingles are offered as an alternative to thatch. This beautiful extremely durable timber with its natural preservative elements is low maintenance and will last for decades. This comprises of an entire new roof handmade in our workshop and installed in place of your current thatched roof on site.
To convert your roof from a thatch tile to cedar shingle, you will require a complete new timber roof. The roof structure includes a laminated circular ring beam, rafters and central key block, birch plywood roof lining, batons and western red cedar shingles finished with a lead capping. All timber treated with wood preservative, with the option of the bright finish ceiling upgrade.
Cedar Shingle Roofs have a lifespan of 20 + years.
